People In Texas Can’t Drive In Snow
I live in Dallas, and the other day we had some sleet fall and cover a whole inch on the ground, and you would have thought it had snowed 20 inches. Schools were cancelled or postponed, and wrecks were all of the freeways.
Here are the reasons why:
Big pick up trucks that think just because the speed limit is 65 even though there is ice on the road they should still drive 65 in the rear wheel drive pick up truck
4 wheel drive - people in Texas think that 4 wheel drive helps in snow but actually it just makes things worse.
Tip: if you are going to drive on ice go 20 below the speedlimit, and drive a front wheel drive vechile
If you do not have a front wheel drive car then put a bunch of sand bags in the back of your truck so you can get some tracktion.
Also, stay off peoples bumbers and keep you distance, dont make sudden turns, and slowly break when stopping.
Common sense but after last week I had to say it.
